Two of Mesoamerica's most storied stones — Jaguar Guatemalan jadeite and Mexican rainbow obsidian — alternate in hand-polished oval beads along this silver-strung necklace. The deep, mottled green of the Jaguar jade meets the dark iridescence of the obsidian, its surface shifting between violet, gold, and green depending on the light. Silver spacer beads mark the transitions, finished with a silver clasp.
Jaguar jade is Type A Guatemalan jadeite — untreated, uncoated, sourced from the same geological tradition that supplied the ancient Maya. Rainbow obsidian is volcanic glass from Mexico, formed in lava flows and prized for the optical phenomenon that gives it its name: a shimmering arc of color visible across its surface in direct light. Both stones were sacred to Mesoamerican cultures. Together, they carry that weight quietly.
