Guatemalan Jadeite — Black
Black jadeite from Guatemala is among the rarest expressions of Mesoamerican jade. Its near-opaque depth comes from graphite or iron inclusions within the jadeite matrix, and its surface carries the same characteristic vitreous luster as all fine jadeite — a glassy quality that catches light even in its darkest form.
