Deep, evenly carried green with good translucency where the light gets through, a heavy rounded profile, and a polish that gives the surface that soft, almost wet look collectors chase. Carved from one block of stone with no clasp, no hinge and no metal, the way a bangle like this should be made.

About Pakistani nephrite
Quarried in northern Pakistan, where the mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan hold some of the world's finest modern nephrite. The deposits worked around Shangla and the Swat-Kohistan belt yield a dense, fine-grained stone in deep spinach-to-forest greens, still recovered in small quantities and finished largely by hand rather than at industrial scale.
- Toughness. Nephrite's interlocking fibrous structure makes it the most durable of the jades, built for daily wear.
- Luster. That structure takes the soft, almost oily polish no treated stone reproduces convincingly.
- Scarcity. Hand-worked output from a limited number of small mountain operations.
- Type A, guaranteed. No dye, no polymer impregnation, no bleaching. Natural color, cut and polished only.
Each piece is one of a kind, so color and translucency vary slightly from the photos.
